Waterford Co Council’s road funding is expected to be down by approximately €1.5million in the current year.

Monday’s meeting of the local authority in Dungarvan was told that work is underway on a programme of macadam patchwork repairs on the Dungarvan—Tallow Road (N72) and the Youghal Bridge—Kilmeaden stretch of the national primary N 25 after a delayed due to severe weather conditions.

Salt stocks are now back to normal and a new salt spreader has been supplied by the NRA to replace an obsolete machine. The Co Council has requested two more salt spreaders to replace old machinery.
