Councillors call for loos on the Greenway

Spending a penny was on the minds ofCcouncillors at the June meeting of Waterford City and County Council when they asked officials whether they had plans to provide toilets along The Greenway.
Chief Executive Michael Walsh told members that they already had arrangements in place with existing facilities at Carriganore, Kilmeadan, Kilmacthomas and Durrow.
“We would envisage Haughton’s becoming a hub and would see gaps in provision at Bilberry and the Clonea Road/ Ballinroad notwithstanding their relative proximity to Waterford and Dungarvan respectively,” he said. “We would see these being remedied in tandem with a coffee offer at both locations but won’t have this in place until next year.” [JD]
