Four Waterford students awarded BOI scholarships

BOI-AwardsBank of Ireland has announced the awarding of 87 new scholarships for third level education. Valued at over €1m, these scholarships allow students who face economic, social or physical barriers an opportunity to access third-level education. This year’s successful applicants included four talented Waterford students who received their awards from Richie Boucher, Group Chief Executive, Bank of Ireland (second from right). Pictured are (from left) Maria Pia Kelly, Carrickbeg; Aisling Power, Gracedieu; Shirley Hennessy and Anthony Mackey, Lisduggan. Maria Pia is a student of Business, Economics and Social Studies at Trinity College Dublin. Aisling is studying Physiology and Health Science at Carlow Institute of Technology. Shirley is a student of General Nursing at WIT, and Anthony is studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Arts Education at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.
