Ireland/Wales funds now available

In operation since 2007, the Ireland Wales Programme is now open for its fourth call for proposals and a total of €27.8m is available. As an EU Structural Funded Programme, Ireland/Wales seeks projects that aim to jointly address the challenges in EU, Irish and Welsh policies and have a positive impact on local communities in the cross-border area.

At a time when funding opportunities are limited, the Ireland/Wales Programme offers eligible organisations an excellent source of funding for innovative cross border projects. The funds provide huge scope for organisations to develop innovative solutions to the shared challenges of the Ireland/Wales Programme area.

The programme also welcomes smaller scale, pioneering, pilot-projects from organisations that are active in the community development and community regeneration field.

The Ireland Wales Programme has a dedicated Development Officer team in both Ireland and Wales who provide potential support in the development of a successful application. All details of the current call for proposals can be found on www.irelandwales.ie The closing date for applications is as follows:

Priority 1 30, April 2010 at 17:00;

Priority 2 11, June 2010 at 17.00
