With a broad and practical programme of 21 events during Local Enterprise Week 2020, March 2nd to March 6th, all entrepreneurs and small business owners are sure to find something to whet the appetite.“Making It Happen” is the theme of this year’s Local Enterprise Week and Local Enterprise Office Waterford is committed to helping local businesses, regardless of their stage of growth, make it happen.

Richie Walsh, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Waterford said that the premise of the Local Enterprise Week is to introduce entrepreneurs and small businesses, regardless of the sector they are in, to helpful and informative resources and workshops.
“With events throughout the city and county, the range is quite eclectic, however they have one thing in common…they are designed to help small and start-up enterprises overcome the day-to-day challenges they face and to grow. Most of the events are free, while some require a nominal booking fee. As with previous years, we would encourage pre-booking as the workshops tend to fill up very quickly.”

Waterford Retail A Fresh Look is a free breakfast event presented by Waterford Chamber on March 3rd. Comprising of a panel of successful and innovative practitioners with guest speakers from AIB and Retail Excellence Ireland, this event will help retailers identify and overcome the challenges facing the retail sector.On March 4th Future-Proof your Business for Success, is an ideal two-hour workshop for those who wish to make smart changes in their business. Presented by Mags Boland Murphy of Bofin Consultancy, this workshop will underpin to importance of using financial information to support your business decision making and planning.

Social Media Mash-Up is curated by Paul Dower and presented by Seanie Walsh, a dynamic young social media disruptor on March 6th. This presentation will be followed by an expert panel discussion facilitated by Teresanne O’ Reilly.On the evening of March 4th world-renowned brain hacker and hypnotist, Keith Barry will provide unparalleled insight into enhancing leadership abilities and breaking through barriers to reach your business goals with Mind Magic Your Business.

Waterford Local Enterprise Office, in conjunction with various key business support organisations and state agencies, including Enterprise Ireland, Waterford Chamber of Commerce and RIKON is dedicated to providing a programme that gives start-ups and small businesses opportunities, advice and resources to unleash their potential and help them on the path to growth.
