Peugeot 208’s Upgrade

Three years after launch, the Peugeot 208 – the brand’s best-selling model – has benefitted from an upgrade to enhance and boost its appeal. It has been finessed with a more assertive styling, fresh exterior colour choices including textured paint and an exciting range of personalisation options.
The range also benefits from the latest petrol and diesel engines from Peugeot, including the newly crowned PureTech petrol International Engine of the Year 2015 category winner. The new 208 has just arrived in Ireland, priced from €14,845 plus delivery charges, covered by a five year extended warranty. A 3.9% PCP low-cost finance offer is available at Peugeot Dealers.
Making a debut on the new Peugeot 208 are two personalisation packs – Menthol White and Lime Green – an optional extra and available on Allure trims, with an RRSP from €270. The Menthol White pack gives the 208 a touch of elegance, while the Lime Yellow pack is bright, modern and fun.
Both feature various elements in the chosen pack colour including an ‘Equalizer’ grille with 3D-effect coloured markings, grille surround and front fog lamp finishers in gloss black, Nera Black door mirrors and laser-engraved coloured lines on the indicators.
The Menthol White and Lime Yellow packs can also be specified for the cabin interior, independent of the exterior pack chosen, to include sport seats in leather effect trim with coloured stitching. Coloured stitching also features on the armrests, leather steering wheel and gear lever.
The new GT Line version on offer adopts many of the styling attributes of the iconic GTi model and features an ‘Equalizer grille’ with red 3D markings, a gloss black grille and front fog lamp finishers, 17-inch Caesium diamante alloy wheels, Perla Nera black door mirror shells, chrome window surrounds and a chrome exhaust finisher. It has GT Line badges on the grille, front wings and tailgate, plus red Peugeot lettering front and rear. Inside, the cabin boasts attractive black and red sports seats with red stitching, repeated on the door panels and gear lever. Gloss black door handles with red line at the front and a leather sports steering wheel with a flat base section, complement the black seat belts with their distinctive red line, the aluminium door sill finishers and pedal trims.
The range of colours and paint finishes available on the new Peugeot 208 has expanded with a rich and varied palette of 13 colours, including a new metallic Orange Power. The brand is also launching a unique textured paint finish in two colours – Ice Grey and Ice Silver – a world-first for a volume production vehicle. Textured paint, with an RRSP of from €610, is more hard-wearing, offers exceptional resistance to micro-scratching and doesn’t suffer through frequent car washing.
With the arrival of the new Peugeot 208, two new diesel engine derivatives are being launched in Ireland; the new 1.6 BlueHDi diesel 75bhp unit has 90g/CO2 and qualifies for €180 road tax, while the new 1.6 BlueHDi diesel 100bhp Stop Start unit emits just 87g/CO2, with annual road tax at €180.
Peugeot set a new record in April when a standard 208 hatchback 1.6 BlueHDi 100bhp covered an impressive 2,152kms on just 43 litres of diesel, with an average fuel consumption of 141.2 mpg or 2.0l/100km. The record confirms the technological excellence of the latest Euro6 BlueHDi diesel engines from Peugeot and the company’s contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
The new Peugeot 208 is now available to test drive at your local Peugeot Dealer
