Local businesswoman Olivia McCann has been awarded a special networking badge of honour by BNI Ireland.

Olivia who has been a member of the Waterford Peregrine BNI Chapter for four years was awarded the gold club badge for bringing six new members into the Peregrine Chapter and generating new business for herself and other members in the networking group.

BNI is a professional business organisation which allows just one person from a trade or profession to join a single group to benefit from its unique referral system, which is similar to having dozens of sales people working as part of your team.

All members of the Peregrine chapter act as a sales force for each other by passing new business and giving referrals.
The Peregrine Chapter which was set up in 2004 have so far generated over half a million euro in new business this year alone. The group meet every Tuesday morning at the Woodlands Hotel, Waterford.

Speaking of the award, Olivia said: “I am thrilled to be awarded the gold club badge for networking from BNI. It is a great honour and will definitely encourage me to continue to generate new business for myself and others in the group.

“The Peregrine Chapter is my business family and the support I receive from being a member of the group cannot be overstated so I look forward to being a member for many more years to come.”
