Planning Granted For West Pharma

N28Pic1-editAs we went to press, it emerged that Waterford City & County Council has granted planning permission to West Pharma to construct a plant on the 44-acre site it acquired at Knockhouse, just off the Old Kilmeaden Road.

The new facility will produce packaging components for insulin injector cartridges and other high-value packaging components, in order to meet growing demand from pharmaceutical and biotech customers.

Once operational, the site could bring approximately 150 new jobs to Waterford and is intended to grow to support additional jobs through future expansions.

“I hope works will now begin on this fantastic development as soon as possible,” said Minister of State Paudie Coffey.
