Bausch & Lomb recently hosted a delegation of opticians, owners, administrators and managers from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) at its Waterford plant where contact lenses and other eye healthcare products are manufactured.

The 31-strong delegation was led by Larissa Dombrovskaya, who is Bausch & Lomb’s sales manager for the Volga, Ural, Siberia and Far East regions of Russia and the CIS.

The members of the delegation met senior managers and a cross section of employees during their day-long visit to the manufacturing plant.

Larissa Dombrovskaya said the visitors were very impressed by the welcome they received in Ireland, particularly from the employees of Bausch & Lomb.

“Our customers received very useful and important first-hand information during the visit,” she said.

“They came away even more confident of the excellence of the products made in Waterford, which provides them with huge motivation to sell more. Our visit was very useful and effective.”

Paula Tebay, Bausch & Lomb’s Exports and Customer Relations Manager, said that everybody at the Waterford plant was pleased that Bausch & Lomb Russia had organised the visit to Waterford.

“It provided the visitors with an opportunity to see how the products they sell are manufactured and it gives Bausch & Lomb employees in Waterford an opportunity to show customers the professional standards operating here,” she said.
