Samaritans appoint new Director
The South East Samaritans have appointed Ann Woodworth as their new Director. Ms Woodworth takes over from Helen Burke who had been Director for the past three years. Ms Burke thanked the Samaritan volunteers for their support during her time as Director.
She also thanked the public for their generosity and the media for the publicity given to Samaritans without which they would not be able to continue to offer their support to those in distress, despair and who may have thoughts of suicide.
Recently retired as Head of the Music Department in WIT, Ann Woodworth continues to be involved in what she loves doing, teaching music. She thanked the volunteers for selecting her as their Director and said it was not something she expected but was honoured to accept the position.
