‘How to be successful in Business’ – that’s the name of a new book just launched by Waterford advertising agency, Passion for Creative.

Aimed at start ups through to established businesses, the book provides a practical guide to surviving and succeeding in these challenging times.

The overriding theme is, as the saying goes, ‘to get all your ducks in a row’. It talks about the power of branding and how a strong brand is invaluable in the battle for new customers. It is a vital piece in the marketing mix and one you can’t afford to be without.

Having worked with some of the biggest brands in the UK, the agency’s founder and managing director Jill Hincks knows what it takes to build a successful business.

“We wanted to produce something that would motivate and inspire people,” she said, reflecting on the book.

“There’s a lot of negativity out there at present. And there needn’t be. There’s always business to be done. You just need to remain positive and focused.

“As a full service advertising agency, we offer everything from a marketing plan and brand identity to a brochure and website.

“We wanted to use all that knowledge and experience to educate and inform as many people as possible, hence the book, and we hope people enjoy it.”

The book also talks about your customers and how they use the web, which, combined with a strong, results-driven marketing strategy, will reap you rewards.

‘How to be successful in Business’ also stresses the importance of innovation in staying ahead of the competition. All things being equal, it is these qualities that will differentiate the winners from the losers, especially in the current climate where passion is crucial.
