Mooney’s Holycross Service Station in Butlerstown was among the winners at the Londis Retailing Excellence Awards 2008, recently held at The Heritage Golf and Spa Resort in Killenard.

Brian and Siobhan Mooney run this very busy Londis outlet and top forecourt with the help of their manager Helen Murphy.

The emphasis in the store is on fresh food, hygiene standards and excellent customer service. Brian is a veteran of many marathons having run in Ireland, the UK and the US.

The store was well represented at the event and was delighted to collect the thoroughly deserved award.

The awards ceremony took place in the wonderful setting of the Heritage Spa and Golf Resort and was hosted by Marty Whelan, with music provided by Dave Browne and the All Stars ensuring celebrations continued well into the night.

Commenting on this year’s Awards Stephen O’Riordan, Joint Chief Executive ADM Londis said: “This year we had more stores than ever participating in the awards and I am delighted to see an increase in the number of stores achieving the very highest level of award with 27 Retailing Excellence Award winners and 19 Certificates of Achievement.

“Their continued dedication, hard work, and commitment to providing an excellent shopping experience for all our Londis customers thoroughly deserves recognition. With these high standards at our core we look forward as a Group to continue building a better future together.”
