Waterford Technologies’ €500,000 Investment With TSSG at WIT

Waterford Technologies is the market leader in email and file archiving solutions and today has announced a joint development programme between Waterford Institute of Technology’s Telecommunication Software and Systems Group (TSSG) and Waterford Technologies.

This builds on the leading edge ICT research that is being conducted by TSSG and combines it with Waterford Technologies existing product set to deliver world class enterprise scale data management software.

Lorcan Kennedy, CTO advised: “The deliverables of the project will drive the Waterford Technologies product set over the next three to five years helping to solidify Waterford Technologies already significant market and will enable the Company to pursue new sales and product opportunities both at home and abroad”.

According to Waterford Technologies CEO John Brennan: “We are very excited to be working with TSSG on this programme and we are confident it will ensure Waterford Technologies continues to meet the ever changing needs and requirements of our customers”. “This leading edge research and development programme is supported by Enterprise Ireland. We have been working with Enterprise Ireland from the commencement and have been assisted previously in marketing and promotional programmes successfully.”

Denise Manton, Research Manager at TSSG talked of the impact of the partnership.

“TSSG are delighted to have signed a contract with Waterford Technologies, the partnership will lead to world class enterprise scale data management software allowing Waterford Technologies to develop new sales and product opportunities,” she said.

“This, in turn, allows the company to grow over the coming three to five years, seeing a further impact on the economy, not just in Waterford, but further afield.”
