Wexford-based Fred Karlsson on Entrepreneur of the Year shortlist
Wexford-based businessman Fred Karlsson (pictured), Managing Director and co-founder of DoneDeal.ie has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year category in the 2010 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
The prestigious awards which are due to take place in October this year recognise and celebrate the top entrepreneurs in the country across three categories: Emerging, Industry and International.
An award is presented for each category with an overall award being presented on the night. The winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year award will go on to compete in the World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
Fred Karlsson founded DoneDeal.ie in 2005 and the business has steadily grown and today claims over 1 million unique visitors per month, according to independent website metrics company, Ireland Metrix.
“I am delighted to be nominated for an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year award,” said Fred.
“The awards are a fantastic celebration of business and entrepreneurship on an Irish and international scale.
