Wonder week for Waterford

The amazing success story that is athletics in Waterford at the moment continued in Trabzon, Turkey last week when all three Waterford athletes representing Ireland performed with great distinction.

Athletes from Waterford and in particular Ferrybank AC had excellent results at the All-Ireland Junior and U23 Championships in Tullamore on Sunday.

Kate wins European Cup bronze medal, sets record

Kate Veale, West Waterford AC with the bronze medal which she won in Olhao, Portugal last Saturday at the European Cup of Race Walking. Kate set a new Irish record of 46.32 in becoming the first Irish person ever to win a medal at this event.
On Saturday morning last in Olaho, Portugal the European Cup of Race Walking took place for junior and senior athletes.
