Here comes summer disco
On Saturday June 25th, ladies in grass skirts and wearing pretty flowers in their hair were to be seen in Ballyduff Community Centre as the Ballyduff/Kilmeaden playground committee hosted a disco for children of primary school age. A great night was had by everyone as they celebrated the beginning of their school holidays.
The committee hosted this disco as a thank you to the children and their parents who have supported the playground project. The committee would like to thank all who attended the disco, to the ladies who decorated the hall so beautifully, all who made sandwiches and cakes for the parents and distributed crisps, drinks and goody bags to the children and to Conor Halpin who was DJ and played party games with the children. The disco was a great success with lots of smiling faces leaving at the end of the night and many tired legs (on the adults).
