Congratulations and well done to all involved with Waterford Suir Valley Railway who have now opened the new extension to the scenic trip on the narrow gauge railway. In addition to the beautiful journey through the scenic Suir Valley, the train now continues beside the new N25 and under the motorway through the Dan Donovan tunnel and on to the toll plaza for the River Suir bridge. This section of the railway was taken up in 2006 to facilitate the construction of the N25 and the River Suir Bridge. It is a wonderful achievement to now have this section of track in use again. What a lovely way to spend some time sitting back relaxing while taking in some of the most beautiful sights Waterford has to offer. If you have some family or friends visiting you on holidays, this would be an ideal trip to make.
