As promised last week, I will now give you the details for the Grand Opening day of the brand new Ballyduff/Kilmeaden playground on Saturday August 28th. At 12 noon, our own John O’Shea will get the party started playing all the hits. John’s colleagues from WLR will take over from 2pm to 5pm and broadcast live from the event via the blaster caster, with plenty of fun and giveaways promised. Bring your appetite along because there will be plenty to eat with lots of food being very kindly donated by local businesses, and Bridget and Siobhain from Freshcos offering to cook it all.

At 3pm we shall clear the playground and perform the official ribbon cutting ceremony. In attendance on the day will be Barney and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. There will also be some walk around magic from our magician, face painting and lots lots more. This promises to be a great day of celebration and fun. We extend a personal invitation to each and every one of you to come and celebrate with us. This playground will be wonderful for all our children to enjoy and also a great place for the adults to meet and chat so come along and help us to enjoy this wonderful achievement. In a time in our world where there is a lot of doom and gloom it’s nice to celebrate something positive. Saturday August 28th is a date for your diary!
