On Tuesday morning the 26th of January a ladies handbag was stolen from her car while she dropped her children to school in Ballyduff NS. She parked her car in the school carpark at 9.15am and while she walked her children to the school gate her bag was taken from her car. The bag was found thrown on the road by the Sweep Bar just after 9.35am. A sum of cash was taken from the bag but all other items were left in it. If you saw anyone acting strangely in the carpark or a car pulled in by the Sweep or someone throw something out a window around that time please contact the Gardai. Everyone I have spoken to are deeply saddened that this would happen in our area so we must take it upon ourselves to watch out for any suspicious behaviour and not be afraid to report anything we see.
