Three men charged with assaulting Jimmy Cleary, causing him harm, at North Quays, Carrick, on February 4, were remanded on continuing bail, with strict conditions, to March 19.
They are Christopher Quinn, 75 Ardmore Park, Ballybeg, Luke Reidy, 2 Knockboy Village, Ballygunner, both Waterford, and William Quinn, 101 Grange Road, New Ross.
The court was told by Garda Supt Eunan Dolan that a file was being prepared for the DPP and there would be at least 40 witnesses.
