Ray O’Dwyer finished in 3rd place overall in the second series of the All Ireland Senior Highland Games. He won the Hammer event with a record throw of 85 feet and was joint winner with a throw of 22 feet at throwing the sheaf. He finished 2nd in the Caber event and 3rd at throwing the 56 lbs weight over the bar. The next and final series will be in Maheragh in September at which Ray expects to be in the running for overall success.
