A Town Without A (Public) Loo

Ours has become a town without public toilets after the facility at the seafront close to the Causeway Bridge was removed and returned to its supplier company lat week. The decision to hand back the “super loo’’ was taken on a 6 to 2 vote by the Town Council a short while back, and while there has been some criticism of that decision the overwhelming majority of the public are adamant that the Council couldn’t continue operating it at a massive loss of many tens of thousands of euros annually.

Of course it is desirable that a town as heavily dependant on tourism as ours is would have such a facility, but in all honesty no one could justify the level of loss this one was operating one. Hopefully some more acceptable alternative can be found, because in the summer time in particular the absence of public toilets will be a major one.
