Donal’s latest publication

There are few more prolific pens anywhere in the county than that of former county librarian Donal Brady. Donal has just published his newest book on Waterford’s scientists. And it was inspired by his tremendous work on the National Committee for Commemorative Plaques in Science and Technology. The book consists of biographical details on eleven individuals born in Waterford city and county, including Robert Boyle and Ernest Walton after whom our own Walton Park in Abbeyside is named. While the subject may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it really is a brilliant compilation on outstanding people by Donal and at a modest “tenner”, is great value for money. Our congratulations to him on a job of work superbly well done, but then nothing less was ever expected of this truly gifted penman.
