A young woman in her 20s was removed by ambulance to Waterford Regional Hospital last Tuesday with stab wounds following an incident in a house at Childers Estate.  The incident occurred around 10.30 in the morning and gardai were quickly on the scene. Two women in their late teens or early 20s were later taken into custody for questioning, and gardai  say their investigations into this shocking incident are continuing.

The injured woman had been stabbed in the chest and other parts of her body, but thankfully her injuries were not life threatening. The garda investigations are continuing and it is expected that a file will be forwarded to the Director Of Public Prosecutions.
