St Annes Capture Minor Championship

Congratulations to St Anne’s minor camogie team who beat Cappoquin in Lemybrien in what can only be described as testing conditions last Sunday. Trailing going into the break, the girls turned it around in the second half with a spirited performance to win by two points.

Table Quiz

A table quiz will take place on Thursday November 28th in aid of the community hall restoration, starting at 9pm. Tables of four are €20. The winners of the winter warmer draw will be drawn on the night. If you haven’t bought a ticket yet they are priced at €5 and are available in Harneys. Prizes include a stove, a tonne of coal a trailer of turf and a trailer of blocks.

Dunhill Squash

Well done to everybody from Dunhill squash club who took part in the Munster junior invitation competition in Limerick. The winners were Niamh Kirwan (girls u11) Rosin Kirwan (girls u13) and Owen Murphy (boys u13).


Well done to Alice Power, Mo Daniels and Tom Fitzgerald who won the hams on Friday and also to Danny Kidney, John Swift and Pat Murphy who won their first hams of the season on Wednesday.

‘Dunaill’ in Concert

Local ballad group ‘Dunaill’ will be performing in the Copper Coast Geopark, Bonmahon, on Saturday 30th Nov at 8pm. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased from Paula McCarthy ph: 292828. ‘Dunaill’ will be making a contribution towards the up keep of the beautiful Geopark Centre so come and join them for some ballads and music. Refreshments will be served.

Music in Harneys

Father and daughter duo The Noddys perform in Harneys on Sunday November 24th from 8pm.

Darts for Hams

Darts for Christmas hams take place in Harneys every Tuesday from now until Christmas so sharpen up your spears and you might bring home the bacon.
