Paul Kenny Pharmacy Squash League

The first competition on the Dunhill squash club calender, the Paul Kenny Pharmacy league, was held recently. The winning teams on the night were Anthony O’Brien’s team who defeated John Breen’s team in division 1 and Peggy McCarthy’s team who beat Jack Stephenson’s team in division 2. Many thanks to Paul Kenny for his generosity and continued support. The Jack Molloy butchers Christmas league is now underway and all club members are encouraged to get their games played. Membership is also due and can be paid to any committee member.

Winter Warmer Draw

Ticket sellers are calling to houses in all areas of the community selling tickets for the winter warmer draw in aid of the community hall refurbishment fund. There are many prizes to be won including a stove, a tonne of coal and a trailer of wood and turf and much more. Tickets are €5 each or 3 for €10.

80s Disco in aid of Eoghan Keating

This isn’t a rave up for octogenarians, but a 1980s themed disco night in aid of baby Eoghan Keating. It takes place on Saturday 23rd of November in the Dunhill GAA Centre. Tickets are €10 and it’s a B.Y.O.B event. There will be a DJ and lots of dodgy moves on the night!

Cards (30s)

The winners of the hams on Friday were Lord Edward, Pat Fitzgerald and Pat Curran. The winners on Wednesday were Seany Walsh, Michael Power. Christmas hams are up for grabs every Wednesday and Friday in Harney’s bar so come along to be in with a chance to win.

Book Club Coffee Morning

A big thanks to all who supported the coffee morning in aid of the kid’s book club in Dunhill on Thursday.

Halloween Camp

If you’re looking for a way to occupy the kids over the mid term break, the Dunhill sports centre are hosting a Halloween fun days camp on Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st of October. For more info contact the centre on 396333 or check it out on Facebook.
