Frost damaged roads
Waterford Co Council has issued the following notice regarding frost damaged roads: “Significant frost damage has been caused to roads throughout the county. Diversions are in place on some roads while repairs are carried out. The Council will only close roads if absolutely necessary in order to avoid disruption to the public. However, motorists need to proceed with extreme care because of the risk of potholes, erosion and surface deterioration on all local roads. The following roads should be avoided, where possible, until further notice: Passage East: Main road from Passage to Waterford – care required. Knockroe: Road at Knockroe from Crooke to Main Waterford Road – avoid if possible.”
