With all the press coverage regarding the condition of the road surface on the main Tramore road, once again rural road conditions are being forgotten. We have tried to get information, but to no avail, on the surface conditions in Fenor and information as to whether the same contractors who laid the new surface on the main Tramore road were the ones who laid the same surface on the road through the Fenor village area.

To date we have not seen any warning signage to give any indication on the conditions. We have had numerous reports of potholes on the Ballydermody road area, with the surface a particular annoyance to cyclists and drivers whose windscreens have been cracked in the school area. Will we wait until something happens on these roads until something will be done?

Please take care in this area, as it is in a very dangerous condition, especially around the school.
