Congratulations to Helen Hutchinson, Fenor, ‘Waterford Granny of the Year 2009′. A great night was had by all in the Tower Hotel on Thursday last, when eight stunning Grannies competed for the title. Well done to Kitty Carroll who raised the most money, all of which went to the Special Olympics.

Helen would like to say a big thanks to all who supported her and helped her raise money; also to all who were able to make it on the night and especially her escort, Garda James Keogh who really was a great laugh. Helen is off to the All-Ireland Finals at the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, Co Offaly this Saturday. We hope she will be wearing the Waterford jersey!
