Public Information Meeting on Diabetes
The Kilkenny branch of the Diabetes Federation of Ireland will hold a Public Education Meeting on Wed. 5th Nov. at the Hotel Kilkenny, College Rd., Kilkenny at 8pm. Adm. is free and all are welcome ! These meetings are designed to encourage people with diabetes to become more knowledgeable about their condition so they can more effectively work with their diabetes team in order to maintain good control of their diabetes.
November Offerings
The November Offering Collection for the support of the Priests of the Parish is being taken up this Sunday. The Priests of the Parish offer an Octave of Masses during November for the Holy Souls and the Faithful Departed of the Parish.
There are printed leaflets on which to write the names of your loved ones to be remembered during November. These may be placed in the intentions box before the altar.
The 10am Mass each morning, from Monday, Nov. 3rd – Saturday 8th, is being offered for all the Faithful Departed.
Hospital Visitation
If you would like a family member or relative visited in hospital please let one of the priests know or leave a message at the office.
Little Sisters of the Poor
Congratulations to the Little Sisters of the Poor on the turning of the sod by Minister, Martin Cullen, of their new home in Ferrybank on Friday last, 31st October.
Cards for Sale
There will be cards for sale after each Mass this Sunday (2nd Nov.) in aid of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on the 7th November. It begins from 9am and continues until 6pm. It is to make atonement to the Most Sacred Heart for all the sins of the world, and to implore His grace and mercy for every family in our parish. All are most welcome to come and pray on this coming Friday.
Pilgrimage to Turkey
One of the features of the Year of Saint Paul will be a pilgrimage from our diocese to some of the Pauline sites in Turkey. We have prepared an itinerary which includes a visit to Tarsus and along the path of Paul’s first missionary journey. Bookings should be made as soon as possible. For more information 01-8783116.
