Golden Club

The Golden Club met on Tuesday 12th November. Glenmore Golden Club and St. Vincent de Paul Annual Christmas dinner will take place on Tuesday 10th December at 11:30am in Glenmore Parish Hall. Active Retirement Slieverue

Active Retirement Slieverue monthly committee meeting at 1pm on the first Wednesday of each month followed by the general meeting at 2pm. Bingo and Bowls every other Wednesday at 2pm.


Recently baptised in Rosbercon Church on Saturday 26thOctober was Emily Jane, daughter of Jamie and Denise Garrenbehy. Laoise Kate Cooney, daughter of Victor and Maria (nee Barron) Brownsford was baptised in Tullogher Church on Sunday 27th October.

Eigse Slieverue

Eigse Slieverue is celebrating its 35th year of culture. The official opening took place on Friday 8th November in the Rhu Glenn, Slieverue.


Many congratulations to John Kehoe, Shanbough, New Ross on receiving his award from Ger Long, Head of Department of Accounting and Economics at W.I.T, in Waterford recently. Well done John.

Open Night in Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School

Due to industrial action by the ASTI, the open night in Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School will not take place this year. Arrangements have been put in place for the 6th year students wishing to enroll for the 2014/2015 academic year and these are as follows: Monday 11th to Thursday 14th November. Prospective arrangements have been for pupils and their parents/guardians are cordially invited to visit the school during the hours of 4:30pm to 6pm. Contact the office for an appointment. Friday 29th November at 3pm is the deadline date for completed application forms. Interested parties can contact the school on 051-422177.
