Castle-to-Castle Pony and Trap Drive
This year’s drive is from Kilkenny Castle to Grannagh Castle, Kilmacow, on Saturday, September 11th at 12 noon, in aid of Marfan Syndrome Research. This promises to be a spectacular and colourful sight. Billy Meany, Ballinerla, Kilmacow, organises and leads the drive. The team will leave Kilkenny Castle at 12 noon, going through Stoneyford, Knocktopher, Ballyhale, Mullinavat and Grannagh Castle at the Thatch Pub. There will be a pit stop to replenish ponies and drivers at Carroll’s of Knocktopher at around 2pm.
This is Billy’s sixth drive and he has raised the unbelievable amount of €32,560 to date. Marfan Research appreciates Billy’s generosity. Come out and see this wonderful sight at Kilkenny Castle, Grannagh Castle and along the route. You may even see our own King and Queen and the following courtiers!
