Health Centre Fear
Residents of Mullinavat and district fear for their doctors’ service at health centre.
Residents who use the Mullinavat health centre, which is under the ownership of the HSE, were fearful this week that the doctor service there may be discontinued. The medical card holders in particular are fearful that, as a result of this, they may have to find transport to bring them to Waterford or Ferrybank to receive similar service.
A notice went up some weeks ago informing people of the ending of the doctors’ service, and since then a petition has been signed by over 80 patients seeking its retention.
