Interesting talk in Thomastown
Last week at Jerpoint Park in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, a large gathering attended the talk given by Prof. Terry Barry of Trinity College for Heritage Week on the medieval town of Newtown, Jerpoint, and its parish church, which stand in ruins. The autumn sunshine, added tremendously to the enjoyment of the evening for those present, who later watched the sheep dog demonstration and then adjourned to the tea rooms.
