Iverk Show Committee visits Royal Welsh Show

Members of the Iverk Show committee who recently spent four days attending the Royal Welsh Show in Cardiff.
On Monday July 19th, 40 members of the Iverk Show Committee, travelled by ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke and then onto their hotel near Cardiff.
Tuesday morning saw the Committee members continue their journey to an area called Bullith Wells where the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show is held every year. The Royal Welsh Show is now the largest Show in England and Wales, covering 300 acres it had everything that a good Show should have. Over 800 top quality Cattle, 3500 Sheep, 2000 Horses, acres of Machinery, a brand new Food Hall (costing over one million pounds sterling), International Sheep Shearing Competition, hundreds of Trade Stands and many other attractions including a fantastic Flower Show. One would easily spend two to three days at this Show it was so big.
Some heavy showers during the day made it a bit wet on the crowds, but everybody was fairly well organised and a most enjoyable day was had by all.
Wednesday morning saw the group on the move again, this time a visit to Cardiff Castle and the Welsh Millenium Rugby Stadium being the destination. Both of them were well worth the visit with a lot of history attached to both the old and the new.

Thursday saw the group head back to Piltown after a very calm crossing on the ferry. Everybody enjoyed the trip and probably saw some ideas for the Iverk Show in the future.
