Aylward Cup

Well done to the intermediate panel and selectors for a great victory in the final. Hopefully we can use the victory as a stepping stone for greater things in the championship.

Minor A League Final

This was another excellent victory for our minor team, and hopefully this title can drive the team forward. They are a good bunch of players and, with luck on their side, a championship could be on the horizon.

Under 16

This team put in a good effort this season, but when it counted they came up just short. They lost out to Graigue-Ballycallan in the hurling championship in horrendous conditions. A lacklustre first-half performance was followed by an improved effort in the second half, but they just came up short.

Under 16 Football

Having worked hard all year, it was a major disappointment to lose out in the county final. The concession of home advantage may have been a problem, but in the end the team was comprehensively beaten by a good side. Hopefully, all these players will be back next year and will provide a backbone to the minor side.

Juveniles

The U13 side lost out to Clonea in the semi-final of the Waterford City League. The players put in a good performance, but it just wasn’t enough as they were beaten by the better side. The U12 side have being going well lately and some good results in the league means that they are still in contention. The U10 side travelled to Piltown recently and emerged with a good victory over their hosts. Hopefully, some of these youngsters will continue to improve over the next few years.

Congratulations

We wish Eoin Hennebry the best of luck as part of the Kilkenny intermediate panel who contest the All-Ireland final against Limerick next weekend. Minors Danny Purcell, Mark Fitzgerald and Cormac Daly and U21s PJ Rowe and Michael Grace have all won All-Irelands in the last few weeks. Well done to them all. Well done to Aidan Walsh for making the U16 Kilkenny panel for the Arrabawn Tournament in Nenagh, and well done to Laura Wall for winning an All-Ireland U16 medal with the Kilkenny team, and to Sarah Crowley, who won an U14 Leinster medal with Kilkenny.

Thank You

We would like to thanks all those who helped during the blitz that was held during August. We would also like to thank those who took part in the bag pack in the Hypermarket a few weeks ago. There is still some gear available for sale every Sunday morning.
