All-Ireland Senior Hurling Semi-Final

Although Wexford senior hurlers went under by ten points 0-23 to 1-10 to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland senior hurling championship semi-final at Croke Park on Sunday last the performance of the Model County was much improved from that of the Leinster final and they silenced many of the prophets of doom. All the team gave of their best and better days lie ahead. Following Waterford’s brilliant win over Cork in re-play it now looks as if it will be a Kilkenny V Waterford All-Ireland final and what a game that should be between two superb sides.

However Waterford must go to Croke Park once again and defeat Limerick to reach the final which will be a repeat of the Munster final which the Decies won by nine points.
