Deaths

The death took place on Friday last of Mrs Eileen Dowd, Crooke and formerly of Lisnamult, Co Roscommon. After her Requiem mass in Killea Church on Sunday, her burial took place in the adjoining cemetery afterwards. She is survived by her son John Creadon, Dunmore, daughter-in-law Fiona and two grandchildren and many other relatives, some of whom travelled from overseas and from her native Co Roscommon. Sympathy is extended from all her neighbours and friends in the Crooke area. On Saturday last, for the second time in the space of a week, a young mother died in Cheekpoint. She was Mrs Sandra Cunningham (nee Doherty) Cullen’s Hill, Cheekpoint, aged just 49 years. She is survived by her husband Noel, son Andrew, daughter Beckie, mother Philomena, brother, sisters, sister-in-law and lots of other relations. Her remains were removed to Faithlegg Church on Tuesday morning and her burial took place in the adjoining Cemetery after Requiem Mass. Deepest sympathy is extended to her husband, children and all her extended family. The death took place on Friday last of a retired Sergeant of the Garda Síochana Peter Feeney, The Mews, Mill St, Carrick-on-Suir who was well known in the Passage area as he served in the village as Sgt in the 1980s. His burial took place in Faugheen Cemetery on Tuesday after Requiem mass. Sympathy is extended to all his family and relatives from all in Passage and the surrounding area.
