Santa arrived in style

Santa arrived in style in Passage on Sunday afternoon on the ferry from Ballyhack. He and Mrs Clause were brought by open car (Eoin Kelly’s!) to cheers from many of the children. Parents were equally excited. As he took his seat in his special grotto in the Community Centre, people marvelled at how well the room had been done up by his helpers and the elves and all those in the Youth Club. The elves and Santa’s helpers all dressed up for the occasion and 47 children saw Santa over the following two hours. Santa was in brilliant form, offering nuggets of advice and wisdom, and Mrs Clause was resplendent as ever. The children also had a mini-disco, with drinks and sweets in the hall. Thanks to Nicky Quinlan, and to Sean Furlong for sweets and soft drinks, and Joe Whitty for doing so much to help make it happen. This was the first time in years Santa has visited Passage during the day and it was a great success. Well done everyone.
