Road Diversion
Due to the road to Carrick-on-Suir being closed, the traffic is being diverted through Portlaw. Many people have been impressed with the area, particularly the work of the Tidy Towns Committee and the residents of Carrick Road. All their efforts are being nullified with the approach road in Coolfin which is clearly overgrown, not for the first time during the summer. One wonders why the County Council does not cut the grass on a regular basis. Surely if the Tidy Towns Committee and the residents of Carrick Road and other people are putting in the effort to improve the area, the County Council should play their part in doing their share. Hopefully we will get an explanation and response as to why the situation has arisen, and if received, we will publish same.
