Another wonderful concert in Dungarvan

Dungarvan is a town where the music just never dies. Hot on the heels of the Féile na nDéise festival comes a big fundraising concert of traditional music and dance which takes place on Wednesday night 7th May in the Park Hotel, Dungarvan. Guaranteed to fill the house is a highly impressive line up, many of them ex-pupils of St. Augustine’s College, and their friends who have very kindly agreed to give their artistic ability in a fundraiser for their old school, ‘The Friary’.

Hosted by well known celebreties singer Ann Mulqueen and WLR’s Kieran O’Connor the impressive line-up includes members of the world-renowned group Danú, (Benny McCarthy and friends, Donnchadh Gough, Ciarán Ó Gealbháin), as well as Bobby Gardiner who needs no introduction to music followers. Also on stage will be Fionn Mac GiollaChuda, Aodh MacCraith, Breandán Ó Ruaidh, David Power, Kelley & Linda Gardiner, Stephen & Paddy Tutty, Tom Murphy, Brendan & Noel Clancy, Stephen McCarthy, Gemma Donovan, Anne-Marie Hickey, Deirdre Kiely and many more.

We are very proud to say that such a huge amount of talent and success has come through our ranks over the years, many of them making it onto the world stage, and this will be as much a night of celebration of that talent as it will be an event to raise much needed funds to help allay our school debt. Some amazing spot prizes in store for the audience!

Park Hotel, Dungarvan. Wednesday 7th May, 2008. Concert begins at 8.00pm sharp. Tickets cost €20 each and are now available from: St. Augustine’s College, Tel: 058 41140 and from David Walsh’s Shop, Lower Main St., Dungarvan, Tel: 058 23412
