SongCraft Concert in the Nagle Chapel

A wonderful night of original music is coming to the Nano Nagle Chapel in Carrick-on-Suir on Saturday, April 5th at 8pm.

Three acts will take to the stage to perform in one of the most atmospheric settings imaginable.

Folk band ‘In the Willows’ will headline the gig, with support from Avi McGourty and local singer Pete MacGowan.

The concert is in support of the inaugural Clancy Brothers Songwriting Competition which was launched earlier this year, and will take place in the spectacular setting of the Nano Nagle Chapel.

The six-piece alternative folk band, In the Willows, has just released their new single, ‘Sirens’, and a new album is coming soon.

The Waterford based band has been wowing crowds with their brand of alternative folk with exquisite, atmospheric harmonies and natural melodic structures.

With over €1,500 of prizes and free entry, the  Clancy Brothers Songwriting Competition is set to be one of the biggest such competitions in Ireland.

Not only are there substantial cash prizes for the top three entries, first prize includes recording time in a professional studio, mixing and mastering, and CD duplication and packaging.

The winner will effectively have everything necessary to record and produce their song to CD and Radio quality.

The competition is run in conjunction with the Clancy Brothers Music and Arts Festival, and the three finalists will be asked to play at the launch of the festival.

Closing date for entries is April 29th. For more information about the competition go to or find it on Facebook.

Tickets for the concert are €10 and are available on the door or contact Pete MacGowan, (SongCraft), on or 086-8548381.
