Ring Road cycle lane

Cycle lanes are to be constructed along Tramore’s Ring Road, subject to funding being available for the purpose.

So stated Area Engineer Jane O’Neill at the local Town Council’s October meeting when she referred to County Council plans to encourage people to walk or cycle in preference to car use. She also appealed for volunteers for a daffodil planting day on Saturday, October 17, in conjunction with Tidy Towns. Those interested are asked to gather at the GAA centre in Riverstown. The schools have been notified. Cllr Blaise Hannigan asked Ms O’Neill to check out the fact that pedestrian lights at Riverstown took over four minutes to turn green.
