Wexford Cup U-16 semi-final

Curracloe Utd 0; Tramore 0 (a.e.t.) (Tramore win 3-2 on pens.)

The U-16 girls qualified for the Wexford Cup Final when they overcame a very strong challenge from Curracloe United at the Wexford venue. Goal chances were very limited in a tight cup semi-final.

Penalty scorers for Tramore in the shoot-out were Jessica Gleeson, Zoe O’Donoghue and Niamh Walsh. Jessica Gleeson taking over in goal for the penalty shoot-out was successful in stopping two of the Curracloe spot kicks.

Team: Beth Cummins, Caira O’Neill, Emma Butler, Vikki Falconer, Sally Jacob, Amy Nolan, Eimear Gallagher, Jessica Gleeson, Zoe O’Donoghue, Niamh Walsh, Emily Holmes, Tara Power, Cathy Linehan, Lorna Malone and Claire Bradley.

South-East Counties League U-13 – Waterford 1 Tipperary 0

A goal from Tramore’s Naomi Douglas was enough to defeat Tipperary in the U-13 Counties League at Portlaw. Rachael O’Shea was out other club representative on this squad.

Munster Squad

Congratulations to Naomi Douglas who has been selected on the Munster U-13 squad.

International

Ciara O’Brien was in Germany last week with the Irish U-19 squad for European Championship games versus Slovakia, Russia and Germany.

U-16 Friday 5-6.30pm

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 13th May in Tramore House at 8pm sharp. We would like to see a full attendance at this meeting as voting for the new committee will take place.

Our guest speaker will be Mr.Gordon Watson, Consultant Surgeon, who is Chairman of Southeast Radiotherapy Trust (SERT).

Don’t forget those wishing to swap their shrubs and plants, please bring them along to the meeting as it proved quite popular at our April meeting, more news on recent events next week.
