Newtown & Guillamene Swimming Club’s Annual Snámh Fáda will take place from the Guillamene to the Pier on Sunday, 26th July.
Registration commences @ 10am. Swim 11am. Entry €5. Certificates will be presented to all swimmers who complete the Swim.
The RNLI and local boatmen will be present to assist. All swimmers must register on the morning & wear a swimming cap provided by our club.
Those caps must be returned by the swimmer on completion of swim.
This enables verification that all who participated have completed the swim.
All entries under 18 will require parental permission.
It is important that all swimmers obey the rules as issued on day of swim. No swimmer is permitted to swim outside the boats accompanying the swim for safety reasons.
John O’Mara Diving Competition on Sunday 2nd August at 12 noon, with Gala in Newtown Cove at 3pm that day. Further details on those events will be published in due course.
All the above events are weather dependent and on the conditions at sea. Cancellation of the events for any reason will be announced on WLRfm on morning of event.
