Traders irate over one-way delay
Tramore’s business sector is very unhappy that the town’s new one-way traffic system wasn’t in place for Christmas, as promised, Cllr Maxine Keoghan told the Town Council’s January meeting.
Cllr Ann Marie Power said they had good reason to be irate because 30 pc of annual trade was done in the six weeks before Christmas and they felt the new system would have benefited business substantially.
They were commenting after Cllr Joe Conway was informed by Area Engineer Jane O’Neill that the system was on target for a February 1 introduction.
