Tramore and District’s 2011 calendar launch
Tramore Tourism and Tramore Tidy Towns recently launched a photographic calendar for 2011. All proceeds generated from calendar sales will go towards community improvement projects for Tramore Tidy Towns and Tramore Tourism.
The calendar concept was launched last Spring following a call for budding photographers to submit their images of the town and district for use in the calendar.
“Hundreds of beautiful images were submitted for use in the calendar,” said Tramore Tourism Chair Avery Coryell. “And the end result is absolutely fantastic; it is a real testament to how stunning Tramore is.”
Mr Coryell added: “We hope that the people of Tramore and the tourists to the town really get behind the initiative and support the Tramore Tidy Towns and Tramore Tourism which are voluntary, non-profit organisations.
“All of the proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be committed to community development projects.”
The photographers whose images adorn the calendar are: Conor Power, Anne Healy, Paul Bolger, Jack Savage, Niamh Partridge, John O Neill, Steven Clancy, Shay Power, Mary Griffin, Paddy Tubritt, Joe Cashin (well known to this parish), Sue Phelan, Wayne Browne, Philip Walsh, Anne Sayers Walsh and Terry McParland.
Priced €10, the calendar can be purchased at Cahills, The Holiday shops, The Grand Hotel, Quish’s Supervalu, Oceanics Surf School as well as The Waterford and Suir Valley Railway.
The calendar concept was developed and produced by Ann Power and designed by David Kent of Graphic Image.
