Action Line

Well done indeed to all involved in the removal of the dead cat from the side of the main road last week, which was truly above and beyond the call of duty. Anyone walking past the spot with children or a pet should still give it a wide berth due to contamination.

Locals keeping a watch on the hole in the storm wall near the women’s slip report that the damage is spreading, so it’s fingers crossed for a speedy resolution to this longstanding problem.

Another unit has been added to the Bottle Bank located on Long Finger Lane outside the Tramore GAA grounds due to the large number of residents availing of this facility. Well done to all for doing their bit on a regular basis for the environment, especially those who take their boxes, plastic bags etc. away with them when they have deposited their bottles.

Young and old alike out for a stroll paused to watch the extension to Gael Scoil Philib Barun being slotted into place by a giant crane.

Top marks to our local council operatives, who worked long and hard cleaning local locations last week (the vast expanses of dandelions in particular).

ICA Notes

The next guild meeting is on Wednesday, May 14th, in Tramore House at 8.00pm. As this is our AGM, we expect full attendance.
