Art exhibition at Tramore Coast Guard Station
‘Avalanche’, a solo art exhibition, is a collection of new paintings and drawings by Neil Butler.
With an obvious reference to the visual media, be it television, magazine, internet, advertisements, Neil intersperses seemingly unrelated images to bring out not only the complexity of image interpretation but also to summon a quirky feeling. This feeling of quirkiness is brought out through repetitive image making, a violent thrush of fleshy colours, and very skilful linear drawings. He creates a dynamic conflict between what should be imbibed within his work. The content is often a re imaging of our lives within an unreal pro media addicted world but his finesse lies in his astute way of delivering the work with intent to prod our consciousness.
The exhibition runs from Sunday 9th November – Sunday 23rd November ( inclusive). Opening Hours Mon-Fri 10am-5pm and Sundays 2pm-5pm.Tel : 051-391656
