Arts Squad is a newly-funded resource available from Waterford Youth Arts with a specific focus on the arts in an education and development context. Aimed at bringing the arts out to those who may not often have exposure to or access to the arts, the programme is about enabling youth social inclusion which is at the very heart of Waterford Youth Arts in all of their activities. Arts Squad is a fantastic opportunity for groups to participate in arts activity or try an art form they have no previous experience of at subsidised rates. Create group art works, try out some contemporary dance workshops, take up Samba drumming or be a film director for a few hours. Whatever your creative interest is, Arts Squad has it covered. Give your group or class a creative and fun experience to remember!

Waterford Youth Arts have a full team of expert artistic practitioners available. Covering all main art forms, practitioners include specialists in art, ceramics and clay work, creative writing, dance, drama, film, music, samba drumming and more. Groups may opt to focus on one particular art form or they are welcome to avail of workshops with a sample of arts activities on offer. Arts Squad is a regional resource and available to schools and youth and community groups throughout Waterford City and County and the south east.

Enquiries as to suitability for partnership on this fantastic programme are welcome. To find out about participating in Arts Squad 2015, please contact Cathy at Waterford Youth Arts, The Arch, Barrack Street 051-879377 or email cathy@waterfordyoutharts.com
